Crocus blossom festival - experience Husum in a sea of purple flowers

Every spring, over 4 million crocuses transform Husum Castle Park into a purple-colored natural spectacle. To mark this event, a colorful city festival will take place in Husum from March 16 to 17, 2024.

Be there and experience the crowning of the crocus flower majesty, stroll through the blooming castle park, take advantage of the Sunday shopping and much more.

Easter at the North Sea

Schimmelreiter-package

You will walk along the Schimmelreiter dyke where Theodor Storm’s Hauke Haien once guarded the coast. All sorts of interesting facts about dyke construction and the Beltringharder Koog nature reserve will be explained to you during your literary tour.

  • 2 nights (extra nights possible)
  • 2 x extensive breakfast buffet
  • 4-course evening menu in our restaurant "Deichgraf"
  • Guided tour of the dyke "In the footsteps of the Schimmelreiter" (Tuesdays & Saturdays)
  • 1 paperback edition of "Schimmelreiter" by Theodor Storm
  • 1 Pharisee in our restaurant

The guided dyke hike is offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays in the afternoon. Pre-registration required up to 24 hours before the tour.

Take more time and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Walk in Theodor Storm’s footsteps through the harbor town of Husum. Get to know the island of Föhr with its miles of sandy beaches and impressive thatched-roof houses and enjoy the vastness around our North Sea hotel Arlau-Schleuse. It’s time for the sea!

  • the island of Föhr for one day (one-day boat ticket Dagebüll - Wyk auf Föhr and back)

The Nordfriesland Museum in Husum is closed on Mondays.
The Künstlercafé in Husum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Guided tours of Husum are offered daily from March to October, except Sundays.
