Chase away winter the North Frisian way
Every year on February 21, large piles of wood (called Biiken) are traditionally set alight on the coast of North Frisia. This ancient custom is said to chase away winter and is a special annual event in the region. Be there when the Biike fire blazes not far from our hotel and experience North Frisian culture up close. Of course, the typical kale dinner afterwards is a must.

In the footsteps of the poet Theodor Storm
Walk along the Schimmelreiter dike where Theodor Storms Hauke Haien once guarded the coast. All sorts of interesting facts about dike construction and the Beltringharder Koog nature reserve will be introduced to you during your literary tour.
The guided dyke hike is offered on Tuesdays and Sundays.
